Youth Action Stockport believes that every volunteer should be recognised for thevolunteering that he or she does for the Stockport community. This recongnition can take a number of forms, however each volunteer has the responsibility of regularly recording and updating Youth Action Stockport on the type and amount of volunteering. This means we know when you are nearly reaching a significant number and can know how many hours of volunteering are occurring in Stockport.
Once you register (see Register Now section) and start volunteering we will send you a registration pack that will include a v Awards log book. Every time you volunteer you should update the log book with the amount of volunteering undertaken and then have someone from the volunteering project or organisation sign off the activity.
You should keep us up-to-date with your volunteering hours. Every so often please drop us an email via the 'contact us' part of the website to say how many hours you have achieved. You can also tell us how the volunteering is going by popping in for a chat or by uploading a blog.
Once you have completed 50 hours come in with the log book and some evidence (please see document below for further guidance on what sort of evidence to use) of your volunteering activity. If you cannot provide relevant evidence please download a V51 form and bring that in. We can then sign off the log book and issue you with a certificate. You can continue to record your hours and we will issue you with further certificates.
