Stockport Youth Service are holding their annual Youth Competition, which is the Battle of the Band. They are looking for volunteers to help run the competition, which consists of three regional heats, with the final being held sometime in November. The following volunteering roles will be available for the competition:

Director

They would be in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly on the day of the competitions, and to make sure everything is on schedule.

Press Officer

They will be in charge of contacting the press, as well as making arrangements with photographers, journalists, and any other press coverage.

Stage Manager

They will make sure that the bands are on and off the stage at the right time, and controls who goes on next. (Training will be available)

Webmaster

They would be in charge of inputting any content on the Internet, and would physically build the site with input from the design team.

Graphic Artist Designer

They will be responsible for physically manipulating any artwork using various software (help available if needed).

Event Designer

They will be in charge of how and what the publicity should look like - Posters, logos, etc.

Photographers

They will be in charge of taking picturesof the event before and during the event. 

Film Crew

They will be responsible for interviews with the participating bands, filming performances, and conducting 'Vox Pops' with the audience (training will be given).

Stage Hands

They will assist each band setting up and getting off stage quickly and efficiently, as well as various tasks such as lighting, projection, runners (showing people where to go when they arrive), looking after the judges, looking after people working at the event (e.g making syre they're all eaten, etc).

Special Effects

They willl be in charge of preparing animated graphics to be used, as well as live mixing of camera footage and special features (training available).
